WHO WE ARE
All the way back in 1984 Olivier Mauxion hosted his first radio show on Angers 101 — he was just 15.
For the last 30 years he has devoted his energy to successfully setting up radio stations all over Europe, working in 16 countries for more than 40 radio stations along the way.
After hosting a number of famous shows on French radio he became program director of OUI FM: the first Rock radio station in France, as well as program director for Lagardere Active Radio International (LARI). These ventures had a presence in 7 countries, 23 radio stations and a daily listenership of over 33.5 million people.
Mauxion has been the Vice President of Power Media Group in Turkey since 2004 and sits on the RIAK board (the representative body for Turkey’s commercial radio broadcasters).
In 2012 he moved to Ireland and launched a new radio station: URadio, before creating Nextwave Media limited in 2018 and Eirewave radio Belfast in December 2020. His passion for radio, content and building audiences remains as strong as it has ever been, especially with the new tools digital media offers the industry.
